-I to Google Hangout with my friends!
-I got good news today! I hadn’t heard back about my living situation for next fall yet, but today I learned that there will be an apartment waiting for me to move into! I am sooo excited! It will be my first place! Ahhhh! It’s really happening!
-Peace!
-A package came in the mail for me today!
-Drinking, cold, clean water!

Joys of the Day!

-Selfies!!! Those always make me feel good.

-But today was a great day. I’m alive and healthy so I cannot complain. It was hard in the sense that today was Monday and all of the students hadn’t quite woken up from the weekend still. I did not get to everything I wanted to in a lesson and one of my classes we literally spent a whole day reviewing what we learned last week. It is all okay though, because I am there for them, and whatever needs to be done to help them is what I’ll do.

-My students yelling “Ms. Kieara!!!” as I walked in today because my hair was different. I was expecting that though. I am also glad that they liked it.

-Doing limbo.

-Watching my students double dutch because I haven’t seen that in so long. I have to remember to wear gym shoes to work so they can teach me one day.

-Accomplishing a lot. I made a to-do list and I crossed off so much stuff for just today. I am very proud of myself.

-John Legend and his amazing music. Today was a Get Lifted day and it literally spoke to me all day. I cannot wait for the concert in two weeks!

-Talking to my students and just having real conversations.

-Teaching one of my classes how to Wobble today. I am very excited for the talent show tomorrow.

-Eating lunch with my students! They are always just so excited to talk about random stuff. I love it.

-Seeing effort and growth from each and every one of my students.

-When a student came to talk to me about a problem she is having in another class. I thought that was very mature of her. Instead of snapping on the teacher she handled it the correct way. The problem is now solved.

-Hearing from friends from college.

-Having people check up on me.

-Going to dinner and then watching Big Bang Theory with my host family.

-Knowing I can go to bed early tonight.

-Being Strong!

I just realized that so many of my joys are about my students and my day at school! That makes me happy. I really love my job, and I cannot wait until I can do this forever! I know it is hard and frustrating and really ridiculous what teachers go through on a daily basis, but seeing the children everyday and learning from them and watching them grow is amazing. I cannot see myself doing any other job in the world.

Goodnight! Love and Peace!

Joys of the Day!

-Today was not an easy day. I relaxed almost the entire day, but it was still a little hard for me. I did get through it though, so I am happy!

-Waking up to the sun shining and a beautiful text from my mommy.

-Reading the “newspaper”.

-Tumblr!

-Making lesson plans that I am so excited to teach! I hope my students get as invested in linear equations as I am!

-Finding such great teacher resources on the internet for free! It amazes me how good the teacher community is online!

-Writing a love letter to myself. I would not say I am lacking love or self-esteem, but I don’t think anyone takes enough time out to appreciate themselves enough. Doing this did wonders to my mood today.

-Self-cleansing during my me time. I read the bible. I’m still on my Proverbs run. I also journaled. Ahhh! writing is just so good for the soul.

-Being in comfy clothes all day!

-Turning the wrong way while going home and finding my way back without the GPS.

-Reading a new book.

-Chopping up parsley. This one is weird, but I do not get to cook as often as I would like, and whenever I get in the kitchen is a joy. I cannot wait to cook all the time this school year.

-My nail polish is still intact.

-Watching What’s My Number?

-Now I will call my mommy before I hit the sheets!

Goodnight!
